Private · Canadian · African upstream
Tytan African Resources is a private Canadian oil & gas company developing world-class hydrocarbon assets in Africa — responsibly, efficiently, and collaboratively.
01 — What we do
Our focus is narrow on purpose: acquire proven hydrocarbon assets, develop them to production, and monetise — the same path this team has walked before, from southern Chad to the Doseo Basin.
Securing high-potential hydrocarbon positions in the African upstream, on terms that hold.
Taking the Kibea Field from licence award to first oil — engineered, funded, and on schedule.
Onshore production in the Doseo Basin, Chad — exported by pipeline to an FPSO offshore Cameroon.
Offtake via FPSO, then proven exits — three Chad PSCs grown to 30,000 bopd and sold to Glencore for $1.3 bn.
Tytan African Resources is a private, founder-owned Canadian oil and gas company with a single mission: to develop world-class hydrocarbon assets in Africa, and to take them from proven reserves through to sustainable production.
The team has done this before. In southern Chad, three production-sharing contracts were grown to 30,000 bopd and sold to Glencore for $1.3 billion. Today the focus is the Doseo Basin in southern Chad — one of the continent's least-drilled, highest-prospectivity onshore plays — anchored by the Doseo Block and its five proven fields.
02 — Leadership
An operating team that has taken African oil and gas assets from licence award, through commercial production, and onward to monetisation.
Forty-five years in global oil and gas — from a start at Esso Exploration (ExxonMobil) to 500 million barrels of discoveries in Thailand, quadrupling Pogo's market cap to $3 billion.

Operating an upstream asset in central Africa carries specific obligations — to the host state, the surrounding communities, and the regulators we publish to. We measure our work against them.
A private, Canadian-registered operator working under verified government and trading licences in every jurisdiction we enter.
Profit oil and royalties accrue to the host state from the first lifted barrel. Payments are published per period, per recipient, to the EITI standard.
Audit, legal, and reserves work led by established names — BDO Canada, Pall Mall (London), McDaniel & Associates, and Schlumberger.
04 — Track record
Three vast PSCs taken from licence to commercial production at 30,000 bopd — then sold in full to Glencore.
Operated offshore gas position — a prior campaign that funded a step-up in producing wells.
The Doseo Block, southern Chad — five proven fields plus 19 Exxon-mapped structures. Our lead asset.
